Company History
Landing Spot was established in response to a critical shortage of allied health services in the Northern Territory. Determined to overcome the major barriers to service (recruitment and retention of qualified and experienced therapists/geographic isolation), we opened our first clinic in the Darwin CBD, in December 2021.
Designed to reflect a traditional, clinic, our practice is managed by a caring administrative, community engagement, and therapy support team. Our Allied Health Professionals deliver their services via telepresence robots and other innovative technologies.
Our success at overcoming access issues in the NT, has led us to establish additional clinics in Adelaide and regional South Australia.
Our flexible service model allows us to provide outreach services in a variety of settings: in-home; school or work sites; community or health centres. Over the past two years, Landing Spot has achieved its mission ‘to bring Innovative technology and allied health together to create a unique and accessible service.’
Landing Spot will continue to grow in a way that ensures quality and meaningful services for all Australians.
Notable Accomplishments / Recognition
Landing Spot is a relatively new company. Opening our doors for service in early 2022, our team has spent the last 2 years building our connections in Darwin and refining our service delivery to ensure we are able to meet our mission 'to bring Innovative technology and allied health together to create a unique and accessible service'.
We are the only Allied Health Company in Australia to be using our robot technology to deliver interactive 'telepresence' services and provide our community with timely and meaningful services. This technology has allowed us to service over 67 clients in the last 6 month alone that otherwise would not have had access to services in this area.
Landing Spot was recently nominated and made it to the semifinals for both the 2023 Darwin Community Achievement Awards and the 2023 Disability Inclusion Awards.
